Director of Human Resources Job at Underwood Mold Company, Inc.
Located in Woodstock, GA, Underwood Mold Company has been a trusted provider of quality injection molds and molded products for over 50 years. We offer custom injection molding services, mold design and fabrication, as well as an extensive line of packaging products which include aerosol caps, pails, and lids.
We are currently hiring for the position of a Human Resource Director.
The Human Resource Director will plan, lead, direct, develop, and coordinate the policies and activities, of the Human Resource (HR) department, ensuring legal compliance and implementation of the organizations mission and talent strategy.
Responsibilities:
- Provides day to day performance management guidance, coaching, counseling, career development and disciplinary action.
- Collaborates with senior leadership to understand the organizations goals and strategy related to staffing, recruiting, and retention.
- Plans, leads, develops, coordinates, and implements policies, processes, training, initiatives, and surveys to support the organizations human resource compliance and strategy needs.
- Administers or oversees the administration of human resource programs including, but not limited to, compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
- Implements, maintains, and reviews payroll processing systems to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions. Ensures accurate and timely processing of payroll updates including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates.
- Identifies staffing and recruiting needs; develops and executes best practices for hiring and talent management.
- Conducts research and analysis of organizational trends.
- Monitors and ensures the organizations compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommends best practices; reviews and modifies policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law; applies this knowledge to communicate changes in policy, practice, and resources to upper management.
- Facilitates professional development, training, and certification activities for all employees where applicable.
- Performs other duties as required.
Duties:
- Collect weekly time reports and correct errors or omissions
- Apply companies PTO policies to time reports
- Process payroll through input of time data, calculating and applying appropriate deductions, and calculating and paying all associated taxes
- Calculate monthly commissions
- Prepare and file quarterly tax reports
- Prepare and distribute year-end tax forms (W2s and 1099s)
- Administer companies 401K Plan
- Conduct biannual open enrollments
- Provide TPA with year end data to conduct year end testing of the plan
- Schedule and attend yearly fiduciary meeting with TPA
- Ensure legal compliance
- Make weekly deposits
- Administer companies Health Insurance Plans
- Work with broker to conduct a yearly plan review
- Work with upper management to determine the budget and overall strategy for company contributions for the new year
- Communicate plan changes with all employees through open enrollment meetings
- Oversee the open enrollment process
- Add new hires to the plan
- Process terminations and COBRA notices
- Complete year end ACA reporting and distribution of 1095-C to all employees
- Prepare reports and complete applications for yearly liability insurance renewals
- Prepare audit reports for yearly liability insurance audits
- Report and file accident logs
- File yearly reports with OSHA
- Recruit and fill open positions
- Prepare and process new hires onboarding paperwork
- Oversee the entering, filing and retention of all I9s in compliance with employment laws
- Maintain and initiate the yearly review schedule for all employees
- Maintain and communicate the corporate PTO calendar

Pay: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
