Who You'll Work With

You will collaborate in the design and implementation of the global strategy and operating model for the firm's IT Disruption Resiliency (disaster recovery) program in line with firm's IT and Cyber strategy and firm's risk appetite delivered through a pragmatic achievable roadmap. Your team will partner with stakeholders to implement process and controls to prevent technology disruptions and to facilitate the restoration of the operations in alignment with the wider firm's resiliency strategy.
You will report to the Deputy CISO and work closely with the CISO. Your team will work closely with the firm's Tech Ecosystem, including the three pillars: ClienTech, Secure Foundations and Technology & Digital. In addition, your team will work closely with firm's Risks functions mainly with Resiliency & Response and Cyber and Data Risk. Lastly, you and your team will partner with the Solutions and Products teams, from the different firm's Functions and Practices / Client Capabilities, to design and implement strategies to prevent and to recover from IT disruptions.

What You'll Do

The team will partner with Solutions and Products teams to help them in the process of defining, implementing, testing and continuously improving their resiliency and recovery capabilities. In addition, you and your team will work closely with the Business Continuity Team to understand their roadmap and business impact analysis to prioritize and define the IT disruption strategies. This team will collaborate closely with the Resiliency & Recovery team and other Tech teams to provide support during a crisis where technology is involved.
You and your team will be part of the Secure Foundations team in the Cyber Adoption pillar to maintain and improve the DR standard and syndicate best practices. This will include developing a training and awareness program for your stakeholders. Your team will aim to be able to demonstrate that our technology services can respond to any disruption in line with the firm's overall resilience and recovery posture.
Your team will be responsible for creating and maintaining key metrics for the entire program to ensure visibility and progress across your stakeholders. You will mentor and develop the team members by identifying strengths and improvement opportunities, and develop action plans to support and strength their professional career.
You will collaborate on multiple strategic priorities across several key technology platforms and services within the firm, with direct impact on the strategy, development, and implementation of cutting-edge enterprise IT disruption recovery programs, including initiatives across the Tech Ecosystem. Your team will achieve a holistic impact maturing firm's resiliency technological capabilities. You and your team will cultivate an external network of people and organizations to both ensure we stay up to date with best practice, and to enable access to world class resources.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or military or equivalent experience
  • 10+ years relevant experience in managing complex IT programs, specifically global initiatives with disaster recovery and cyber components is required
  • Advanced knowledge of IT Disaster Recovery practices and functional business areas, with prior experience of working seamlessly work across project management methodologies
  • Experience with cloud services as part of a disaster recovery strategy. Previous experience in incident response functions
  • Experience in technology development, experience building agile solutions, optimization of operations and integrating new solutions and processes into business functions
  • Self-motivated and independent thinker, willing to challenge and be challenged in a constructive (and non-defensive) manner; strongly customer centric; demonstrably values led and highly ethical
  • You must be a strategic thinker, enabling you to be a genuine thought partner with the Solutions and Products owners. You will also need to have used cloud-based capabilities for disaster recovery and have pragmatic experience with it in prior roles
  • Entrepreneurship and innovation, with strong attention to emerging technologies, solutions, and approaches and a desire to bring cutting-edge thinking to the firm
  • Outstanding organizational and interpersonal skills with a strong customer focus. Comfortable with ambiguity and navigating conflicting stakeholder needs
