We are looking to immediately find a Director of Kitchen & Bath Sales Development.

Summary

Develops, maintains, and executes a Kitchen/Bath/Lighting plan/program for the Company Kitchen and Bath Designers. The Director of Kitchen and Bath Sales Development works closely with the Designers and their Managers to identify and assist with ongoing business needs as well as ensures that showrooms and product lines meet customer needs. This position works for the VP of Sales & Purchasing and works closely with the purchasing & marketing departments as well as all Company Directors and Branch Managers.

Sales Management

  • Design and drive sales strategies by partnering sales with marketing, purchasing, merchandising, and operations to increase sales and drive profitability.
  • Develop, execute, and oversee a companywide structured sales management program to include:
  • Identifying what is driving revenue in each market by analyzing customer type and core product group performance
  • Develop and support the execution of market focused sales plans to expand market penetration and to drive revenue
  • Developing a strong lead, quote, and bid follow through process
  • Reporting for measurement, accountability, and daily management
  • Defining structure by store, salesperson, customer, and product group
  • Evaluation process to determine effectiveness of the sales program
  • Define and oversee the execution of a sales plan to develop and grow commercial sales.
  • Oversee the development and management of key sales positions to ensure there is expertise in each of our markets.
  • Coordinate with Human Resources to define sales compensation rates and ranges.
  • Oversee the execution of commission programs; review and revise as appropriate.
  • Maintain and grow strong partnerships with existing and new K&B vendors.
  • Participation in showroom update analysis, budgeting, and execution.
  • Partner with DSN and support as needed.
  • Logistics oversight.

Business Development

  • Develop the strategic sales plan to compliment the overall company strategic plan, marketing, merchandising, and purchasing plans.
  • Define, maintain, and ensure sustained use of marketing plans for core product groups to strengthen sales and market growth.
  • Analyze and balance the operational and marketing focus & expense to the appropriate areas of revenue.
  • Review and revise price policy and price structure to maximize margin by market, customer type, and product category, in conjunction with Purchasing.
  • Develop price policy and approval process for large sales in conjunction with Purchasing.
  • Assist in defining and executing training needs for the company.
  • Participation in NKBA, KBIS, and beneficial industry meetings and events

Talent Acquisition

  • Participates in Branch recruitment for all open Kitchen and Bath design positions by partnering with Management, participating in the interview process, and offering candid feedback to partner with the Branch Manager with decision making.
  • Develops and maintains industry relationships to assist with recruitment efforts.
  • Support and participate in Work Force Development efforts, Internship and Builder K&B Programs

Learning and Development

  • Works in conjunction with Learning & Development to identify and implement opportunities to improve training of K&B employees.
  • Continue to develop Associate Designer Program and Training Library.

Marketing Research & Analysis

  • Annual product line review in conjunction with Sales and Purchasing to facilitate whether we are meeting all market segment needs.
  • Identifies Brand and Product opportunities and bring to purchasing and sales organization.
  • Identifies market opportunities and conducts research to show viability of additional showroom locations, businesses, etc. Presents findings to appropriate Company Directors.
  • Actively participates in the development of annual K&B business plans.
  • Works in close partnership with Purchasing department to create synergies and to develop clear and consistent communication.
  • Follow and adapt to trends and market analysis.
  • Competition analysis

Sales and Marketing Execution

  • Works with individual Designers, Managers, and Regional Directors to execute showroom update strategy.
  • Involvement with purchasing to develop co-op plan for displays and expenditure by store to meet company’s goals.
  • Establishing and enforce program guidelines and policy/procedures for K&B showrooms.
  • Visit all showroom locations at minimum twice per year to ensure designer support and merchandising meets Company standards. Make recommendations to Branch Managers and Directors regarding any concerns.

  • Do It Right the First Time - Strive to eliminate errors, prioritize work accuracy, seek opportunities to improve efficiencies

Main Location: Ballston Spa, NY- Travel to 23 retail locations between NY and VT!
