The Director of Operations provides guidance, direction, and monitoring to ensure achievement of targeted goals and outcomes, including full enrollment per budget capacity, compliance with The Joint Commission and program contracts, and KVC procedures, standards, and policies. The Director actively participates in the KVC leadership team and is responsible for achievement of the overall strategic plan goals, annual outcomes, quality indicators, and core competency performance standards for residential staff. This position works collaboratively with the Director of Treatment for the overall success of the program.

Education: Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, Nursing, or related field

Experience:

• A minimum of five years’ experience working with children in a residential setting.
• A minimum of four years previous supervisory experience.

Major Duties:

• Works collaboratively with the Director of Treatment to provide leadership direction, program development and execution of all Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility (PRTF) programming.
• Ensures that all departments and areas within the PRTF are operating in compliance with all Joint Commission standards, Missouri statutes and regulations, CMS and DSS statutes and regulations specific to psychiatric residential treatment, and KVC policies and procedures.
• Works collaboratively with the Director of Treatment to develop and maintain the program budget and ensures that program expenses are kept within budgetary expectations.
• Monitors milieu and food services program outcomes, quality assurance, and improvement strategies
• Participates actively in the statewide residential leadership team.
• Provides support and guidance for other regions as needed.
• Establishes and maintains excellent relationships with key stakeholders, community leaders, referral sources, clients, and customers.
• Works with program and maintenance staff to ensure that the physical facilities are always maintained in good condition.
• Ensures that all PRTF milieu programming maintains high standards of performance and fidelity to established Model of Care Principles, tenets, and expectations.
• Works with program and agency leadership to review and update policies and treatment expectations.
• Responsible for oversight and assurance of compliance with all contracts, licensing agencies and partners by ensuring milieu documentation is timely and of high quality.
• Works collaboratively with Community Based Services, education, support staff, and other regional and statewide KVC groups to achieve annual goals, improve quality, and strengthen competencies across all regions.
• Facilitates internal investigations and supervisory reviews.
• Ensures employee evaluations are timely and of high quality.
• Maintains scheduling of milieu team and food services
• Responsible for oversight of hiring for milieu and food services.
