Quality Enclosures, Inc., the premier Northeast manufacturer of Shower Enclosures and other flat glass products, is searching for a Director of Operations who will oversee our Production, Engineering/Systems, Inventory, Purchasing, Warehouse and Logistics teams ensuring high quality and timely delivery of our products. Leverage your experience to bring more fluidity across departments, improving communication, measuring performance, and creating efficiencies by tracking metrics all while making meaningful recommendations directly to upper management for process improvements.

Lead, inspire, and engage a diverse team of employees. Day-to-day responsibilities include:

• Coordinating scheduled, weekly deliveries by encouraging a collaborative effort across your departments
• Creating ways to optimize available resources
• Meeting with your managers consistently, providing support and helping facilitate solutions that are aligned with strategic goals and objectives
• Offering guidance and development to managers that need training
• Becoming knowledgeable across our product lines and production processes to assure you are viewed as an expert by your teams
• Delivering daily/weekly/monthly KPIs that track performance across all your teams
• Building and maintaining productive relationships with a wide variety of internal employees
• Collaborating with other departments to complete projects, including HR, Safety, IT, and Accounting
• Communicating effectively and periodically with executive team
• Being the final “On Call” for maintenance, safety, security, and production issues
• Being responsible for the creation and maintenance of standard operating procedures (SOP)
• Monitoring and evaluating effectiveness of machines, personnel and suppliers and helping to resolve related issues
• Lead continuous improvement efforts across all your departments through root cause analysis (RCA)

Knowledge/Skills:

• Excellent interpersonal and team building skills
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
• Strong production management skills
• Mechanically inclined
• Strong business acumen including planning, operations, finance, and strategy
• Demonstrated knowledge of LEAN manufacturing principles and methodologies
• Ability to manage change and continuous improvement initiatives
• Demonstrated analytical and strategic thinking
• Effective communication skills

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in business, operations or engineering preferred
• 10+ years of Production/Leadership/Senior Management experience
• Desire and willingness to constantly improve

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $145,000.00 - $195,000.00 per year
