Education/experience
Master of Science in Nursing required. Certified Healthcare Simulation Educator ( CHSE ) certification preferred. Recent experience with computer simulation in a clinical or educational setting preferred. Recent nurse leadership experience.

Job Summary
The Director of Operations manages center operations to meet the established mission, accreditation standards, and Board of Nursing regulations. Strong leader who works collaboratively with all nursing faculty, administration, technical support, learners, internal, and external stakeholders to develop and implement clinical simulation as a method of learning to enhance and support educational needs. A specialist with business, nursing education, management, and technical skills.

The Director of Operations is expected to 1) establish and maintain an engaging learning environment to help students achieve/sustain good future performance while assisting faculty in developing and implementing best practices for all simulation experiences by serving as a Simulation Champion and Expert, and 2) lead the operation of the Simulation Center by managing financial, space, and equipment resources as well as providing leadership, and managing the schedules and training and development for the Center personnel.

Required Qualifications

Clinical experience in medical/surgical, critical care, obstetrics and/or pediatrics.

In-depth clinical knowledge of diverse patient populations.

Teaching experience and use of classroom technologies.

Excellent customer service and public relations abilities.

Prior management and leadership experience.

Demonstrated ability to complete projects in a thorough and timely manner.

Technically proficient with a variety of types of clinical and office equipment.

Self-motivated with excellent time management and organization skills.

Possesses business and technical knowledge to promote growth and sustainability within budget constraints. Fiscally responsible.

Demonstrated ability to thrive both independently and as a team member.

Preferred Qualifications
Proficiency with computer skills and use of instructional technology strategies. Knowledge of computer hardware and software applications relevant to simulator functions. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Takes initiative to achieve outcomes. Business operations and financial management experience preferred. Certified healthcare simulation educator preferred.
