The Ideal Candidate
The Director of Operations will partner across the enterprise to identify and lead continuous improvement projects designed to add efficiency, save costs, and increase revenue and profits. Priorities will include distribution center operations and fulfillment strategies, process mapping, systems implementations, and improving overall customer and employee experience. You will be responsible for utilizing data to improve operational efficiency and performance metrics in support of Johnston & Murphy's overall growth strategy.

Priorities will include distribution center operations and fulfillment strategies, process mapping, systems implementations, and improving overall customer and employee experience. You will be responsible for utilizing data to improve operational efficiency and performance metrics in support of Johnston & Murphy's overall growth strategy.
How You Will Make an Impact
- Provide operational solutions to profitably support the growth of the Johnston & Murphy brand.
- Evaluate financial and business indicators and translate data into actionable information to drive results and proficiency in performance metrics.
- Drive accountability and standardized best practices while leveraging support functions to optimize operational performance and meet budgeted goals.
- Partner cross functionally in an ongoing effort to create the optimal distribution footprint to include company owned, leased, and 3PL considerations.
- Develop, evaluate, assess, and report on key productivity indicators including shipping costs, shipping accuracy, and service levels.
- Assist in measuring departmental performance, identify weaknesses or risk, and suggest operational changes to ensure the efficient flow of goods.
- Ensure processes, tools, and systems are in place and optimized to maximize fulfilment for digital sales, Johnston & Murphy stores, wholesale accounts including drop ships, and online marketplaces.
- As needed, identify technology needs to receive and manage all orders and services. This may include analysis of the appropriate distribution footprint, including locations, partners, automation and other ways to continually improve our customer experience and company performance.
- Provide support for an array of ad hoc operational projects and initiatives.
