THE ROLE
We are looking for a self-motivated and results-driven leader to direct and manage Headlands’ patient recruitment team, which is focused on patient recruitment support for de novo and acquired sites. The Director of Patient Recruitment will create and own individual site recruitment strategy and support; lead multi-site study participation, allocating oversight of recruitment efforts and spend; implement daily business operations; motivate staff; manage operational costs; ensure a best in class patient experience; and direct the team, and ultimately the Headlands sites, so that monthly recruiting goals and metrics are met. Your entrepreneurial spirit and vision in directing business functions will assist our organization in having the best patient recruitment process in the clinical trials industry.
The successful candidate for this role should possess excellent communication skills, superior knowledge of marketing and sales, patient recruitment experience in the clinical trials industry, be tech savvy, possess exceptional budgeting and finance skills, and have demonstrated strong leadership and people management success. The Director should be highly revenue driven, with a focus on driving inside sales while accounting for all recruitment activities, support staff development, and efficiency enhancements. This noteworthy leader will be hyper-focused on continuous improvement with the ability to experiment, as well as test new ideas and strategies from both the marketing and sales aspects of the business.
DUTIES
- Oversee daily business operations for patient recruitment function and coordinate with all Headlands sites to ensure monthly targets are met
- Develop and implement growth strategies for recruitment marketing and sales to support patient recruitment initiatives thru continuous research and identification of opportunities
- Create and roll-out continuous patient recruitment strategies across the network, differentiated appropriately to support specific and differing site needs
- Strategic, as well as tactical, oversight and support of patient recruitment activities for de novo’s and acquired sites
- Creative and content oversight of ad development, driving participation and positive ROI results
- Establish sound lead generation (insourced and outsourced) - all social, email marketing/blasts, text messaging, advertising (print, radio, TV, digital) - internal and outsourced for de novo and acquired sites as needed
- Own web site updates associated with trial activity, implementing best practices to fluctuate with activity
- Financially sound oversight of marketing and recruitment budgets across all Headlands sites, through use of best practices in efficiency and cost effectiveness
- Ability to manage, lead, and inspire a remote, growing team
- Objectively evaluate employee performance and productivity along with ensuring performance bonuses are aligned with goals and well communicated metrics
- Analyze acquisition patient recruitment operations, offering expert advice on improvement opportunities
- Generating reports and giving presentations around the analytics and data in the business to generate recommendations for improvement month over month
- Build positive and impactful relationships across sites and levels, demonstrating extreme professionalism and customer service
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or equivalent
- Master’s degree in Business Administration preferred
Experience
- Superior knowledge of patient recruitment for clinical trials with at least 5 years of experience
- 5+ years dealing with marketing and sales analytics, with proven experience analyzing data and providing recommendations to improve revenue, manage expenses, improve efficiency and hit goals
- Strong leadership qualities with the ability to grow highly engaged teams, 5+ years leading and directing people daily is required
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage both internal and external customers
