Position Summary

Montai is seeking an experienced Product Manager to drive cross-functional strategy around our data science and machine learning products for internal drug development. This role will be responsible for working cross-functionally with our science and technology teams to ensure alignment across our scientific product portfolio, reporting to the CTO. They will own the backlog for the team, and work with senior leaders across the company to set the vision and strategic direction for our internal products.

Responsibilities

• Define vision, gather requirements and set key metrics for our scientific software products
• Ensure cross-functional team alignment on our software products with company goals, including formulating project proposals, getting consensus, and driving execution plan
• Maintain and prioritize the product backlog with the technical team
• Build and implement the roadmap for our products
• Communicate roadmap solutions' functionalities, capabilities, and data science nuances to technical and non-technical audiences within the company
• Work with leadership team to identify, evaluate, and prioritize external data sources and data generation efforts
• Document, monitor and revise the following in support of product development: product requirements, process maps, use cases, user acceptance test plans, project plans, and release notes.
• Assist in creating product training and documentation materials in support of their implementation across the company
• Serve as the internal and external subject matter expert for the products, working with all appropriate stakeholders.

Basic Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in product management in a drug discovery, biotech, or pharma related field
• MS or PhD in scientific or quantitative field
• Track record of tracking, delivering, and maintaining scientific software products working closely with engineering teams
• Strong technical background and understanding of software development methodologies.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organization
• Ability to create and communicate findings from data-focused analyses with a variety of technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and execute product strategies that drive business growth
• Experience working in a fast-paced Agile environment

Additional Qualifications

• Experience managing data science or AI products
• Deep understanding of the regulatory environment and drug development process
• Aptitude for understanding, digesting and analyzing complex systems integration and disseminating them into simple concepts.
• Ability to influence multiple stakeholders without direct authority
• Must be flexible and willing to undertake a wide variety of challenging tasks.
• Self-motivated and curious with strong desire to both learn from and teach others.
