Yum! Digital and Technology is looking for aSenior Director, Product Management and User Experienceresponsible for leading the evolution of the Yum! Brands global harmonized restaurant platform products, including in-store Point of Sale, eCommerce digital ordering engine, and omni-channel menu management. These products are built in-house by world class products team and target to power the world’s largest restaurant company with over 50,000 locations in 145 countries.

This position will report to the Vice President, Digital Commerce.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the Product Management organization responsible for establishing a product vision, strategy, roadmap and implementation plans for the portfolio of harmonized restaurant products: In store Point of Sale, eCommerce digital ordering engine, and omni-channel menu management.
  • Lead the User Experience team to drive the end to end user experience of the products, conducting research, ideation, conception, design, prototypes and testing across the brand's product portfolio.
  • Partner with Engineering to form a 3-in-the-box leadership model for each product, ensuring what we build optimizes on customer value, engineering feasibility, business viability, and customer usability.
  • Embody the mindset of “CEO” of the products, focusing on business outcomes tracked via key performance indicators, and developing the overall commercialization strategy for our products.
  • Foster a product culture within the eCommerce product team, establishing best practices around discovery, prototyping, continuous and rapid testing and learning, with a relentless focus on delivering customer value.
  • Drive strong financial and business discipline to roadmap prioritization and perform pre/post launch analysis of each product and drives team financial accountability for results. Sets financial, operational and quality objectives for the product line and leads operational reviews.
  • Develop a keen understanding of competitive offerings and industry trends in the self-service analytics space, and the ability to translate that understanding into meaningful actions and enhancements
  • Work cross functionally with all executive brand partners (Pizza Hut, Taco Bell, KFC, Habit Burger Grill) to understand emerging customer and business trends that required enhancements or new product features to be developed. Create deployment and adoptions plans with our brand partners, ensuring seamless integration into their existing technology eco-systems
  • Partner with Reliability Engineering and security teams to ensure proper controls have been implemented for proactive monitoring of critical product features, availability, stability, compliance and security.
  • Oversee and direct the work of a high performing team of product managers, program managers and UX specialists. Act as a coach through on-boarding, open communication, training and development opportunities and performance management processes; builds and maintains culture enabling high employee morale and motivation; fosters a diverse and inclusive workplace.

Minimum Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience as a product manager or engineering leader over large scale products.
  • Proven success delivering branded ecommerce digital experiences or other product capabilities to a large-scale market (internationally strongly preferred).
  • Strong agile product development and planning skills; with experience planning across dependent products at scale.
  • Software engineering background withunderstanding of how front-end applications interact with back-end API services is required.
  • Must have experience with a portfolio of high availability SaaS or PaaS products.
  • Proven success managing and coaching talented product management teams.
  • Outstanding written, verbal, and presentation skills, including effective influencing skills at an executive level.
  • Analytical, solutions-oriented skillset with the ability to drive thought leadership.
  • Strong financial and business acumen - P&L ownership of products is required.

Preferred Requirements

  • Relevant industry experience in retail/hospitality/QSR and familiarity with restaurant technology (POS, Kiosks, Payment Devices) is a plus
  • A BS/BA degree in computer science, engineering, or technology related degree highly preferred.

Salary Range: $214,300to $277,420annually + bonus eligibility. This is the expected salary range for this position. Ultimately, in determining pay, we'll consider the successful candidate’s location, experience, and other job-related factors.
