The Royal Park Hotel with its 143 rooms is the #1 Wedding Hotel in the market boasting over 20,000 square feet of meeting space. The hotel located just 45 minutes south of the airport, in the heart of Downtown Rochester Michigan! Rochester has a small town feel but is truly a luxurious and upscale city. Our AAA-Four Diamond Hotel is situated on the banks of the Paint Creek River. The hotel offers an all glass conservatory, one of only a few in the state. The conservatory was built in Belgium, taken apart, and shipped back to Rochester MI, where is was meticulously placed back together.

The Director of Sales and Marketing (DOSM) has direct oversight of the sales operation of the hotel. The DOSM has a primary responsibility to maximize revenue by encouraging our creative team of sales professionals. Our next leader will also have responsibilities involving creating the sales and marketing budget, establishing room rates, create and execute effective marketing that supports all sales including both group and transient sales. Additional responsibilities include maintaining effective involvement with key community organizations, upholding key relationships with previous clients, and maintaining customer satisfaction as the driving philosophy of the business.
What skills will enhance your success in this role..
- Bachelors degree required or equivalent full service hotel sales experience
- 5+ years progressive hotel sales experience
- Minimum 2 years hotel sales leadership experience or equivalent
- Ability to create and execute a Sales and Marketing Plan to maximize revenue
- Established relationships within the community
- Negotiation/interpretation of contracts skills
- Business communication skills both written and verbal
- Solid Microsoft Office skillset
- Experience with major Hospitality Sales CRM systems (Delphi, ProfitSword, Opera, Salesforce)
