What we're looking for

In this leadership role, you'll be responsible for the design, administration, and execution of Vacasa's Total Rewards programs overseeing all aspects of the compensation programs and health and welfare benefits plans supporting the organization's ability to attract, recruit, and retain amazing talent for the company. Reporting to our Vice President of HR, this role will require being both hands-on and strategic.

This role requires the ability to work collaboratively with all levels of the organization, with a strong customer focus. Key focus and responsibility for this role will be implementing a global compensation framework and analyzing all benefit offerings to make the most competitive package in alignment with company objectives.

What you'll do

  • Provide leadership and direction to Vacasa's Compensation & Benefits teams; motivate them to pursue high levels of excellence.
  • Evaluate, develop, and implement, and maintain all compensation policies and programs, which include salary, annual incentives, and short-term and long-term incentive plans.
  • Partner with Finance and Legal on global equity incentive compensation and ESPP programs.
  • Set and oversee the organization's annual compensation review cycle, including the design of review templates, manager/employee communication, and training of process and end-to-end process management.
  • In partnership with our Senior Manager of Benefits, provide strategic direction and oversight to the benefits function that results in the effective and efficient management of programs and partners.
  • Oversee the management of 401k & retirement plans, including compliance and fiduciary activities.
  • Collaborating with HR and Talent Acquisition teams on offers, promotions, transfers, and development of policies and guidelines to support the company's continued growth.
  • Launch the creation of a job leveling/pay banding program across the global business.
  • Ad hoc financial and operational reporting to provide key analytics and metrics.
  • Implement, communicate, and administer compensation programs that attract and retain high-performing talent and that are fair, equitable, competitive, and cost-effective.
  • Consistently research and share best practices and emerging global trends in compensation, health & welfare benefits, and time off programs.
  • Consults with executive and senior leadership in developing a Total Rewards philosophy and supporting policies and practices.
  • Serves as the in-house subject matter expert on Total Rewards programs and works closely with internal stakeholders at all levels.
  • Participate as a member of the senior HR leadership team, where you will help drive the direction of all HR initiatives across the organization.

Skills you'll need

  • 10+ years of experience in a multi-location and sophisticated business environment. Public company experience a plus.
  • A comprehensive understanding of the "big picture" around compensation and how to deploy various levers effectively.
  • Expertise on compensation platforms, compensation models, bonus programs, and executive compensation.
  • Courage to challenge the status quo with innovative ideas around Compensation and Total Rewards and its evolving role in high-growth companies.
  • Proven track record of leading and building effective teams.
  • Experience influencing and partnering with executive leadership. Ability to effectively influence cross-functional teams and decision makers.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with all levels of the organization and the ability to distill and present complex topics into digestible formats.
  • Demonstrated experience leading large, complex initiatives and associated change management activities.
  • Strong work ethic and collaborative approach.
  • Strong leadership and mentorship skills: demonstrated ability to roll-up sleeves and work with team members in a hands-on management capacity.
  • Highly motivated and willing to take on multiple responsibilities at once.
  • Ability to think creatively and thrive in ambiguity.

You'll be working in your home office setting. We hold virtual training sessions and weekly team meeting. Occasional offsite team meetings in your region or our HQ locations. Requires frequent, repetitive use of a computer, phone, and office equipment. Requires patient, professional communication with prospective clients, and the ability to build confidence with prospects.

Compensation

  • $145000 - $165000 / year
