Director - Transaction Monitoring (Digital Assets) Job at Nasdaq, Inc.
Working closely with the Head of Compliance and the Director of Compliance, the Director of Transaction Monitoring will build and maintain a team of analysts dedicated to reviewing transactions related to Nasdaq’s digital assets offering. The candidate will establish and maintain policies and procedures around surveilling transactions on platform. The transaction monitoring team will analyze transactions considering best practices around AML, cryptocurrency trading, and combatting fraud.
In This Role You Will
- Create and lead a team of surveillance analysts, which includes training, quality control, and professional development
- Supervise daily workflow, alert queues, and metrics
- Draft or approve suspicious activity reports filed with regulators
- Assist and provide guidance to team members conducting complex surveillance reviews where necessary
- Develop and train surveillance analysts
- Assist in developing and enhancing policies, procedures, and desktop aids
- Lead and manage the ongoing configuration of transaction monitoring rules to meet Nasdaq policies
You Will Need the Following Skills and Experience
- Compliance professional with at least 12 years bank/trust AML experience, including experience investigating potentially suspicious activity and leading teams of investigators and analysts
- ACAMS certification
- Experience with compliance related to digital assets/cryptocurrency
- Familiarity with blockchain analysis and investigative tools
- Experience managing professional staff, contractors, and technology tools
- Willingness to lead staff located around the globe
