The Habitat for Humanity ReStore is a division of Habitat for Humanity of Greenville County. The ReStore mission is to generate revenue through the sale of donated building materials and household items to support HFHG's operating budget. Through its efforts, the ReStore facilitates recycling, minimizes landfill waste, provides low-cost home improvement items, and increases Habitat's visibility in our community.
SUMMARY:
The purpose of the Dispatcher is to assist in the day to day operations of the donation pick up. This role is critical in maintaining a constant supply of donated goods to the retail locations as well as providing a convenient service to our donors. This position is responsible for helping process, schedule, and dispatch all in-home and on-site donation requests.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Receive calls related to in-kind donations.
- Place follow up and confirmation calls.
- Schedule and plan routes for daily donation pick-ups.
- Monitor and schedule all online donation requests.
- Maintain an acceptable pick-up turnaround time as defined by Supervisor.
- Keep clear and open lines of communication with all store managers.
- Ensure that all donors and customers are treated to the highest standards of customer service.
- Take detailed notes regarding donor requests, route changes, and account details.
- Schedule and facilitate all required maintenance and repair work on fleet vehicles.
- Maintain all vehicle maintenance records.
- Work closely with the Donated Product Development Manager to ensure all cultivated donor interactions are of the highest customer service quality.
- Keep clear and open lines of communication with all store managers.
- Provide detailed communication with all team members.
- All other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
