Dispatcher
Full time dispatcher needed for the chemical transportation industry. Must have prior truck dispatch experience. Position reports to the Vice President of Transportation and is based in Henderson, NV.
Major Accountabilities

  • Coordination of transportation demands for hauls into and out of our Henderson location on a normal and emergency basis and within DOT guidelines.
  • Deliveries include bulk liquid chemicals, pump offs, chlorine cylinders, and other packaged deliveries in Vans, Flatbeds, and tankers.
  • Dispatching and scheduling company drivers and equipment.
  • Utilize carriers for shipments as needed.
  • Act as a liaison between production and drivers.
  • Perform record keeping as needed.
  • Coordinate required random drug screens for drivers.
  • Maintaining relations via phone and email, and making additions, cancellations, and changes regarding deliveries.
  • Work with drivers to ensure diligent attention to safety compliance.
  • Accurately manage transportation costs and provide quotes for sales.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Must be available for after-hours calls and changes.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum two years of dispatching and scheduling experience.
  • Must be extremely detail oriented.
  • Must be able to prioritize, multi-task and meet deadlines.
  • Positive attitude.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Must be computer literate and capable of using multiple applications.
  • Must be dependable, willing, and ready to work every day.
  • U.S. citizen or permanent resident status.

Additional Qualifications

  • This is a clerical administrative position in a professional office setting. The employee is frequently required to sit, stand, walk, use hands, stoop, bend, and reach. Extensive use of a phone and a PC is required.
