The Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Coordinator will work closely with the SVP, Human Resources Department to help implement ICL’s diversity and inclusion initiatives to foster an equitable, diverse, and inclusive workplace for all ICL staff. This role will be responsible for assisting with the execution of relevant programming, training, antiracism strategies and other agency initiatives. This role is also responsible for the overall coordination of the strategies and initiatives including collaborating with staff, committees, and leadership to execute a DEI work plan & activities, ensuring ICL policies and programs are embedded with equity, and documenting and communicating ICL’s DEI growth and impact. In addition, this role will work collaboratively with the Development department to shape case(s) for support related to DEI funding opportunities while contributing to the ongoing conversations about access, equity, race and culture throughout ICL.

· Assist the SVP, Human Resources in aligning the company’s practices in the areas of diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging.

· Serve as a guide to the Chair of the DEI committee.

· Manage the annual DEI calendar, including providing logistical planning, coordination and support for DEI events and initiatives as well as standing stakeholder meetings and agendas.

· Collaborate with marketing team to draft internal communications and external social media posts that articulate company news, updates, events or celebrations.

· Collaborate with the marketing team to coordinate and host events, learning opportunities and shared spaces that will advance staff’s understanding of diversity, equity inclusion and anti-racism.

· Establish ICL Employee Resource Groups to engage in and/or co-deliver DEI-related trainings and programs to strengthen the organization.

· As needed, provide one-on-one coaching to staff who have expressed a desire to improve their own understanding of DEI and anti-racism.

· Generate and share relevant content to management, empower and engage staff to continue to foster a workplace culture of equity and inclusion.

· Uses consultative skills to collaborate with partners to identify gaps related to cultural competency.

· Create and distribute monthly communications such as event reminders, educational opportunities and newsletters.

· Partner with other committee members to help complete work plan activities, identify barriers and monitor and report progress

· Represent the ICL at local Diversity recruitment events and external committees as determined in conjunction with the SVP, Human Resources

· Actively research new pedagogies, curricula, and best practices that address common corporate challenges in teaching about cultural competence, awareness of racial micro-aggressions, identity, social difference, and inequality, and partner with the SVP, Human Resources Department to incorporate these conversations into company training and community discussions.

· Assist with adding research based DEI data to support grant proposals, cases for support and other fundraising collateral.

· Attend Donor visits when needed.

· Assist with the launch and administration of long-term, internal D&I programs

· Leverage corporate demographic data and survey results to inform programs and adjustments to the corporate strategy.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's Degree with 2-3 years of relevant Experience.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
