The Lower Pioneer Valley Educational Collaborative (LPVEC) and its seven members (Agawam, East Longmeadow, Hampden-Wilbraham, Longmeadow, Ludlow, Southwick-Tolland-Granville, and West Springfield) is seeking an experienced and accomplished professional to serve as Coordinator of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB). The Coordinator of DEIB will report to the Executive Director. They will work closely with LPVEC Superintendents, leaders, teachers, and staff to realize LPVEC vision as a truly inclusive and anti-racist organization and Districts. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring and developing new programs and practices that effectively increase diversity and provide support to various groups within the organization.

Enhance synergy between recruitment, hiring, retention, professional development and focus to align strategies for racial equity and other organizational area focuses. The Coordinator of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging is responsible for the implementation of strategic and priority efforts within education, through the lens of both the internal department and external supports, and resources to the field, in the specific areas of diversity, equity and inclusion. The Coordinator is expected to lead strategic initiatives to support inclusion and equitable access for racial and ethnic minorities, women, LGBTQ+ individuals, people with disabilities, and other historically marginalized groups. This critical position is a member of the leadership team and will be responsible for leading and directing cross team initiatives, contracted professional development, research and resources when applicable, development of policies and initiatives and be a liaison for Districts externally to all stakeholders as relevant on this topic.

The Coordinator will collaborate, with support and participation of the leadership team, with internal committees and other stakeholders to elevate and prioritize this focus for the goal of systemic and strategic initiatives. This position will serve as the subject matter expert and will be a support resource to local education agencies and will help them with development of local policies and tools to help mitigate the inequities, through engagement, assessment, training and evaluation cycles.
