Duties & Responsibilities

• *Able to travel between Bingham Farms and West Bloomfield offices as needed, but not limited to other offices in the future.
• Measure and fit off-the-shelf orthopaedic bracing and other orthopaedic devices.
• Instruct patients regarding use of orthopaedic bracing products and other orthopaedic devices.
• Ordering of products, maintaining inventory, and reconciling to make sure all items are billed properly of DME.
• Check patient benefits and perform pre-certification for certain orthopaedic products.
• Assists staff and physicians in problem solving in regards to type of brace and fitting that best suits the patient and their situation.
• Communicate patient questions or concerns regarding orthopaedic products with physician and staff.
• Communicate with product representatives and vendors regarding product complications or issues.
• Maintains licensure and certification requirements to comply with the State of Michigan.
• Complete special projects as assigned.
• Perform duties of co-workers and subordinates as workload dictates.
• Act as facilitator for new product that the physician would like to have added to inventory.

Education, Certificates, Licenses

• Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university in Athletic Training or other health-related field, with a preference for two or more years of outpatient orthopaedic or durable medical equipment experience.

Compensation

• Based on experience; starting pay at $18.48 and up
