Dog Day Care Attendant Needed
Summary
Our company is seeking a reliable Dog Day Care Attendant to provide excellent care to dogs staying at our facility. Our ideal candidate is someone who loves animals and can provide high-quality pet care for our customers while their dogs lodge with us. We expect you to provide a fun, safe, and clean environment for dogs and put customers at ease, assuring them that their pets will be safe. Prior experience in animal is desired but not mandatory.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Watch group of dogs play and interact in a safe way
- Take dogs out to daycare yards
- Handle behavioral issues when they arise during daycare
- Clean and maintain kennels, keeping them free of waste, fur/hair, and other unsanitary or hazardous materials
- Keep records of feeding and walking schedules for each dog
- Shifts are generally 8 hours of being on your feet and being active with a group of dogs.
- Attention to detail when observing the pack of dog’s health and behavior
Requirements and Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED certificate
- At least 18 years old
- Prior experience at a dog daycare facility, shelter, or in personal animal care
- Familiarity with various dog breeds
- Passion for taking care of animals
- Teamwork and communication skills
- Physical stamina for cleaning and taking care of a large group of dogs
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
