Boys & Girls Aid in Portland, OR is looking to hire a full-time Donor Relations Coordinator. This 40 hour/week support staff position earns $21.02-23.54/hour. A DAY IN THE LIFE OF AN DONOR RELATIONS COORDINATOR
As the Donor Relations Coordinator, you will be under the direction of the Director of Development. The Donor Relations Coordinator is responsible for implementing strategies to engage prospective/current donors and enhance charitable revenue for Boys & Girls Aid. The Donor Relations Coordinator also provides administrative assistance to the Advancement Department with a focus on fundraising support, event logistics, and donor stewardship efforts.
- Participate as an active member of the Development Team to collaboratively create and implement fundraising strategies with the President & CEO, VP of Advancement, Director of Development, and Gift Processor.
- Support donor identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship. Assist the Director of Development with donor relations, community outreach, Raisers Edge database maintenance and analysis, and event planning and execution.
- Manage the Donor Thank You Program and make improvements as necessary.
- Manage gift-in-kind needs and donations to Boys & Girls Aid.
- Flexibility in work hours to include some evenings/weekends and travel.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR AN DONOR RELATIONS COORDINATOR
- Bachelor's degree or higher with an emphasis on nonprofit management, sociology, psychology, communications, marketing, business, or related field. Experience in nonprofit development may substitute for a degree.
- Two years of experience in fundraising, administrative, or high-end customer service work.
- Ability to work with a high degree of independence and juggle several projects.
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
