Job Description:

• The Quality Firm is looking for experienced LA DOTD Certified Inspectors and Technicians to join our Baton Rouge team working on the Phase 1 of the I-10:LA 415 to Essen Lane on I-10 and I-12 project. This project is scheduled to be 3-to-5-year project.
• The successful candidate will handle inspections and testing for construction activities for roadway and bridge structures.
• This position is a field position, which includes being near heavy equipment, and will require occasional overnight and weekend shifts when applicable.
• Communicate and collaborate with project team members to ensure project integrity and high-quality work product that consistently meets or exceeds the projects contract documents, drawings, and specifications.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct field tests on construction materials such as: concrete slump test, concrete air test, concrete cylinders, embankment density test, and embankment moisture test. Verify the installation of all material as per project specifications.
• Ensure testing and inspection frequencies are met.
• Perform constructability analysis and advise on means and methods for the owner and for the general contractor.
• Produce daily field reports including photographs to document progress and the identification and resolution of non-compliant activities.

Requirements and Certifications:

LADOTD Profiler Operator

LADOTD PCC Field Tester

LADOTD Nuclear Device Operator (Density Tester)

LADOTD Aggregate Tester

LADOTD Asphalt Concrete Plant Technician

ICC Certifications a plus

Valid driver’s license required.

Experience in construction bridge and roadway construction is a plus.

Ability to pass a drug test

Must be able to perform moderate physical activity including but not limited to walking, climbing, balancing, kneeling, and standing.

Must be able to work nights and weekends as required.

Must have a clear understand of construction safety.

Must possess immediate ability to work in the United States.
