CAD Drafter

CAD Drafter is responsible for several duties at Jahabow, including providing engineered product solutions based on conceptual design renderings and/or customer specifications. Strong technical and product development skills needed. Engineered outputs generated include but not limited to: CAD drawings; bill of material specs; work instructions; raw material specs and performance testing criteria. Project management and milestone management skills are a plus.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Transforms initial rough product designs using 3D computer aided design (CAD) into finished product designs.

• Reviews engineering drawing and designs to ensure adherence to established specifications and standards.

• Follows and adheres to company policies and procedures.

• Designs mechanical products for custom applications.

• Is required to have specialized knowledge in the areas of display products produced from plastic, wood, metal processed by vacuum forming, injection molding, blow molding, stamping bending, and forming.

• Works under general supervision.

• Follows and adheres to company policies and procedures.

• Performs all other duties as assigned.

• Coordinates with outside vendors for development and samples of new components.

• Relies on experience and judgment to accomplish goals.

• Familiar with a variety of the engineering concepts, practices, and procedures.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Associate degree in Engineering or equivalent experience

• 0 to 2 years

REQUIRED SKILLS

• Experience with SolidWorks software

• Works under general supervision
