JOB DESCRIPTION: DRIVER
New Wave Roofing formerly Weiler Roofing is a local roofing contractor that is looking to hire a new driver to support our roofing crews. The daily tasks involve transporting materials to the jobsites in Sarasota and Manatee counties.
· Starting at $16/hour and up depending on experience
· 40-hour work week; Monday-Friday 6:30 am – 3:30 pm
· Opportunity for overtime, but not required
· Willing to train and growth opportunities within the company
RESPONSIBILITIES
· Drive company diesel pickup trucks hauling trailers up to 24’ long
· Load and unload roofing materials on trailers
· Haul roof waste materials to the dump
· Fuel vehicles and equipment
· Follow all traffic laws
· Drive defensively to ensure safety
QUALIFICATIONS
· Valid state driver's license and clean driving record
· Minimum 1 year of experience hauling trailers
· Positive attitude and a team player
· Flexibility – willingness to support the operations and roofing crews
· Great time management skills
· Physically able to lift up to 100 pounds
· Spanish speaking is a plus, but not required
· CDL is a plus, but not required
· Pre-employment drug screening and insurability application
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $25.00 per hour

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
