Seeking an experienced Driver Dispatcher.
Job description
-The Driver Dispatcher is responsible for taking care of an assigned driver pool; using an open and interactive leadership style to reconcile customer, driver manager and driver needs.
- Leading drivers to meet company performance goals, including meeting customer service pick-up and delivery requirements, achieving equipment performance standards, maintaining an excellent safety record and retaining safe drivers and Driver Dispatchers who provide excellent customer service.
Essential functions
-Lead and retain a designated fleet of drivers following driver manager guidelines
-Work with our Safety and Compliance Departments to promote positive driver relations, safe operations of equipment and the reduction of driver turnover.
-Ensure a cooperative environment with consistent communication and flow of information concerning delivery related issues.
-Responsible for the contribution to an efficient and effective operation of a fast-paced team.
-Maintain a calm and professional demeanor when dealing with upset drivers, team members, etc.
-Ensure fair and consistent application of and adherence to company policies
Required education and experience
-Associate Degree in a related field preferred
-1- 3 years minimum of previous experience in the transportation industry as a Driver Manager preferred
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
