Specifically looking for someone to haul a 2 horse trailer with a 1/2 ton truck to clients homes for pony parties/petting zoos. Company vehicles.
Enchanted Animal Parties is looking for weekday and weekend/part time help with pony parties and petting zoo's. We travel all over New England to birthday parties, fairs, corporate events and city functions, but mostly stay in the Boston area on weekends. Position would also includes other various farm duties such as daily feeding, watering, mucking, and milking goats (by hand and machine). Must be organized, punctual, able to lift 40lbs, hard working, quick learner, and ideally have experience with horses (but not necessary). This is a fast paced environment, must be able to work independently with minimal direction. A typical day starts with cleaning and tacking up ponies and gathering all the baby animals in crates. We then travel to the host's location to set up a corral of animals and let the clients in/out of the petting zoo and/or offer pony rides at the same time. Private parties are usually 1-3hours where city events can be 4-6hrs in a day. Health and safety of our animals is absolutely paramount and their needs come first. After clean up we travel to another private event or back to the farm. Upon arrival to the farm, the animals are unloaded and trailers are cleaned we then start feeding and watering the animals.
Looking for someone 21+ and capable of driving a truck and trailer to off site party locations and another staff member to drive a suburban/SUV without a trailer, and additional staff to assist with the driver.
Various days/hrs/weekends/weekdays available. We are flexible and can work with your schedule. While most parties are on weekends you may sign up for a s many sat/sun and midweek shifts as you like. Pay is based on experience and shifts are anywhere from 4-16hrs depending on the schedule. Willing to train the right individual.
Farm is located in Groton MA. Excellent clientele and gratuity is included at most events.
