Job Overview

The driver/warehouse person is responsible for daily pick up and parts deliveries to customers and other branches while representing the company in a professional manner.

Duties and Responsibilities

The primary duties and responsibilities are:

• 
  Picking up and delivering parts and units in a timely, efficient and courteous manner.
• Properly completing paperwork including invoices, core slips, tags, drivers log, and transfer manifests.
• Ensuring that correct parts are with invoice before leaving the branch.
• Maintaining cleanliness of vehicle.
• Inform Branch Manager of any incidents/accidents with company vehicle.
• Preparing packages for shipment.
• Assist with receiving, logging, and checking in of merchandise both stock and non-stock items, inspecting for damaged goods.
• Unloading stock that has been checked in onto the shelves.
• Assist with pulling parts needed for the shop or counter.
• Completing special warehouse projects as designated by supervisor. The secondary duties and responsibilities are to be performed as assigned include:
• Present a neat, clean, professional appearance-you are a representative of your branch and of Transaxle.
• General organizational and administrative duties as needed.

Skills, Training, and Education Requirements and Preferences

  The driver/warehouse person position requires a number of basic skill and conditions, including:
• Valid drivers license and a clean motor vehicle record.
• Operational knowledge of a forklift.
• Basic PC skills and basic understanding of PC systems.
• The knowledge and ability to apply basic math.
• The ability to communicate via written messages, including neat, legible handwriting.
• Good organizational skills.

Element that are preferred, but not required for the position are:

• 
  A high school degree or equivalent experience.
• An ability to recognize opportunities for process and operational improvement.

Physical Requirements:

  Valid Driver's license
• The driver/warehouse person position is fast-paced and can be at times physical, demanding a number of physical attributes, including:
• The ability to lift at least 75 pounds, unaided.
• The ability to periodically work beyond the scheduled shift.
