E-Commerce / Marketing Coordinator Job at Goodwill Industries of Lorain County Ohio
Position summary: The E-Commerce / Marketing Coordinator is responsible for managing the development and maintenance of online store and coming up with new marketing strategies based on the business need. They plan, coordinate, and analyze marketing campaigns through website content, email marketing, digital ads, paid search, and social media.
Essential functions:
- Manage inventory of books, jewelry, computers and other merchandise for e-sales.
- Print pick-up lists and pull orders; prepare pick-up receipts; carefully pack orders using Goodwill guidelines.
- Prepare shipping labels; request signature guarantee and insurance for items over $100; print daily reports and file; accurately enter tracking numbers for shipments.
- Receive and unpack donated items from Goodwill stores; photograph items; write accurate descriptions of items; and log the Goodwill store where the item originated.
- Enter descriptions and pictures of items on the e-Commerce sites/stores.
- Wrap, box and prepare any unsold items for return to the Goodwill store where the item originated, ship items to other destinations.
- Ensure that all orders are shipped in a timely manner.
- Promote sale of selected merchandise and special sale items to targeted audiences; provide excellent customer service.
- Research and develop knowledge for e-commerce sites by reading available books, magazines and searching the Internet.
- Design, implement marketing goals and strategies to increase public awareness and community support for the organization.
- Brainstorm, develop and coordinate impactful and creative marketing campaigns for website, email, banner ads and social media. Review, track, and report campaign effectiveness.
- Collaborate and communicate marketing calendar campaign activity with internal and external teams to align brand awareness and efforts.
- Ensure high brand standards and accuracy is upheld in all marketing efforts.
- Updates sites regularly on Social Media platforms by visiting each site on a weekly basis.
- Promote Monthly Foodbank live feeds on Goodwill’s Social Media platforms.
- Serve as agency Webmaster; update website regularly and monitor visitor trends; research and upgrade based on industry trends and best practices.
- Assist in analyzing marketing data to help shape future marketing strategies
- Build, test, and document links used in creative assets for website, email, and ads.
- Develop, market and coordinate company special events, including annual employee events anniversaries, birthdays, and award programs.
- Attend Ohio Goodwill Association marketing meetings and ensure agency participation in state and national Goodwill campaigns; utilize national and state marketing materials as appropriate.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications and required skills:
- Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
- Must maintain a professional appearance and demeanor.
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records are essential.
- Ability to use physical exertion such as prolonged periods of standing, walking, recurring bending, reaching and climbing; ability to lift up to 50 lbs. consistently.
- Knowledge of computer technology, including Internet e-sales sites, and computer programs (Word, Excel), social media and email.
- Valid Driver’s license with good driving record and proof of current auto insurance required every six months.
Education and experience:
- High School diploma or GED.
- 2 years' experience in e-commerce and online sales and marketing preferred.
Other Requirements:
- Frequent local and regional travel. Some evenings and weekend meetings and events.
