eCommerce Account Manager/Merchandiser
About the position:
The responsibility of the eCommerce account manager is to generate profitable sales consistently. You will accomplish this by analyzing your market offerings and developing and executing sales and product category plan to maximize opportunities. You will also coordinate with different teams and initiatives to drive and grow the business. The key to sustaining sales growth will be in your ability to plan and execute promotions on various eCommerce marketplaces as well as brick-and-mortar wholesale.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Analyze your market by developing, analyzing, and executing sales, and product category plans to maximize opportunities
- Work with buyers and other merchandisers to plan sales & trend spot
- Digitally merchandise using photoshop & Excel
- Maintaining and growing existing accounts
- Build relationships with marketplaces to grow business. (Amazon, Walmart, Zulily, etc.)
- Assist with Shopify selling platform, order entry via SAP, customer service
- Experience managing multiple projects - prioritizing, planning, and organizational and time management skills
- Sales forecasting and ability to analyze sales figures
- Manage plans for inventory levels and identify changes in demand and logistics
- Develop a keen understanding of the product market
- Monitor sales report daily for success and identify gaps to take correction action on both promotion and longer-term bases
- Head up key initiatives designated by the company to drive long-term sustainable growth
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- 1-3 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Previous account management, product management, project management, and a working knowledge of e-commerce
- The ideal candidate will be collaborative, action and results-oriented, self-starting, have analytical skills, and be comfortable with computer databases and web-based tools
- Proven track record in relationship account management, driving results, and implementing ideas in a fast-paced environment.
- Solid proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel
- Knowledge of channel advisor, SAP, and Shopify, is a plus but not required
- Regular, reliable attendance and punctuality are required.
- Have the ability to think strategically and tactically.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Must be assertive while respectful and be able to consistently “self-motivate to reach sales and business goals
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills and exceptional communication skills
- Ability to make crucial decisions, cope with the pressure of meeting demanding targets, and work within tight deadlines
- Proven ability to exercise sound judgment in decision making
