Fun.com, home of HalloweenCostumes.com, is in need of an individual who will help us complete some projects and improve and innovate the digital merchandising of our products. The Website Experience department is looking for a savvy shopper who can identify sale opportunities on our sites and merchandise products accordingly. As well as a person who nerds out about data driven shopping trends.

The Temporary eCommerce Specialist works very closely with our products on a day-to-day basis, often discovering depths of nerdiness they didn’t even know existed! They ensure that all our products are online and present on our sites in a timely fashion. Once that product is online, they do continual analysis of our products to position them in the most opportune areas of our sites; helping maximize their sale potential. This ensures our customers can find what they are looking for and have an overall good site experience.

Duties

• Ensure all new products are set up with Search Engine Optimization best practices to guarantee optimal product visibility on search engines
• Position products on our sites to maximize visibility and create ideal search & browsing results for our customers
• Analyze and problem solve errors on both our Fun.com and HalloweenCostume.com sites
• Find new and innovative ways to feature and present products on mobile and standard sites
• Use our tools to suggest related products and accessories to upsell products on our sites
• Update titles, meta descriptions and meta keywords using SEO best practices

Requirements

• Basic understanding of merchandising strategies and upselling of products to help maximize conversions and help drive high average order values
• Strong analytical skills that produce problem resolution in a timely manner
• Exceptionally detailed oriented and organized
• Great at finding inaccuracies and brainstorming ways to fix them
• Ability to make informed decisions quickly, based on collected data
• Strong ability to effectively communicate cross-departmentally
• Preference for working independently but can still function well in a team environment

Preferred Skills

• Degree in Business, Marketing, Digital Marketing or equivalent e-commerce or retail experience
• Base-level understanding of SEO best practices
• Previous experience in data entry
