Job Summary:

Responsible for overseeing childcare personnel, which includes teachers, early childhood associates and administrative support.

Department/Unit Summary:

Vanderbilt University Medical Center Child and Family Centers offer early childhood care and education for the children of VUMC employees. The child care program serves children, from six weeks old to age 5. The centers are licensed by the Tennessee Department of Human Services.

  • Assists leadership with recruiting, interviewing, checking references, extending initial offers, and conducting orientations.
  • Assists to overseeing childcare operations including licensing, quality assurance, facility operations and educational excellence.
  • Maintains a positive and upbeat attitude while working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Prioritizes and organizes daily childcare center activities for maximum effectiveness.
  • Helps create staff schedules are created efficiently to achieve the appropriate coverage of center operations.

Position Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent experience) and 2 years relevant experience
