POSITION SUMMARY
This position will assist in most aspects of Olivet’s Early Scholars Program. The Early Scholars Program is for high school rising juniors and seniors. It is a dual enrollment program offering classes both online and in-person. This position will communicate with students, parents, and high school staff. Communication is key for this position. This is a 12-month, part-time position.**
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Communicate the mission of Olivet Nazarene University.
2. Assist in recruitment strategies that promote enrollment growth for ONU’s Early Scholars Program.
3. Assist in student and high school communications.
4. Assist in scheduling classes for students within this program.
5. Assist in events specifically related to the Early Scholars Program.
6. Strive for positive and collegial public relations with the administration, staff, students, parents, colleagues and community members.
7. Assist the immediate supervisor by executing the duties assigned to this position.
8. Demonstrate effective verbal communication skills in order to be able to be understood by others while displaying the ability to use appropriate verbal skills for a campus or an off campus setting.
9. Demonstrate the ability to write legibly using correct grammar and punctuation.
10. Possess the ability to operate a computer and exhibit effective telephone skills.
11. Exhibit effective skills in working with other members of a management/leadership team in creating an effective organization.
12. Demonstrate the ability to practice confidentiality with sensitive information.
13. Display effective interpersonal skills in assisting to establish a positive climate in the work environment.
14. Exhibit the ability, with training, to learn all software applications related to the assigned position in order to effectively perform duties required of the position.
15. Display the willingness to accept any cross-training deemed necessary by the Director of Community College and Academic 16. Partnerships to effectively deliver services to students served by the University.

EDUCATION
High School Diploma required
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work primarily in the office. Occasional travel to high schools for recruitment and events. Occasional (handful a times per year) evening presentations at high schools. This position is 12-month position.
