Job Summary and Qualifications

Our teams are a committed, caring group of colleagues. Do you want to work as an Echosonographer Technologist where your passion for creating positive patient interactions is valued? What you will do in this role:

• The Echo Tech demonstrates knowledge of human growth and development, assessment, range of treatment, and care of patients appropriate to the ages of patients served.
• As Echo Tech, you will perform echo/imaging procedures with the highest level of quality, care and utilizing correct protocols.
• Interviewing patients and reviewing chart/orders to obtain complete history is core to your role.
• You will assist Radiologist/Cardiologist with invasive procedures and assist students during rotation.
• You must assist with Transesophageal (TEE) procedures and in Stress Echo procedures.
• You will demonstrate appropriate care, maintenance and high level disinfecting of TEE probes
• You will help in the ordering of supplies and promote teamwork within the department and the hospital.
• In your role, you will operate Meditech/Echo PAC/ Echo equipment

What qualifications you will need:

• Graduation from an accredited school of ultrasonography, echocardiograghy and/or radiologic technology
• Current ARDMS (AE)and/or CCI certification
• If not registered in Ultrasound, required to obtain registration within 6 months of hire or will be released from position
• 1 year post-graduate experience preferred
• Current BLS Certification upon hire
