Open Door is seeking a eClinicalWorks Application Specialist to work in our Ossining, NY Headquarters. This role will report to the IT Manager of Service Delivery and will be responsible for driving the delivery, support and enhancements of the Open Door Family Medical Center EMR platform.
The eClinicalWorks Application Specialist is accountable for the end-to-end delivery of programs and projects related to eClinicalWorks within Open Door Family Medical Center, meets customer needs, delivers technology updates, manages the process of delivering enhancements and corresponds with the vendor(s) to ensure service and support is delivered within agreed SLAs.
Responsibilities
- Maintains information technology projects related to EMR platform, in line with IT strategies laid out by the leadership; planning, researching, and implementing technological solutions
- Working with internal stakeholders, presents and recommends technology enhancements to the CTO with the aim of improving efficiencies and optimizing use of technologies
- Leads cross-functional teams and managing key stakeholders while performing full project management tasks from proof of concept through final implementation
- Delivers weekly updates to management on health and performance of EMR platform
- Conducts regular service review meetings with the vendor, to assess tickets and services delivered
- Presents monthly performance metrics to management – centralized reporting dashboard
- Meets key internal stakeholders bi-weekly to capture feedback, enhancement needs and service issues
- Documents all meetings and store these centrally
- Tracks and ensures compliance with licenses used within Open Door
- Monitors and manages end-to-end delivery of projects and services regarding scope, time and budget
- Drives operational improvements and efficiencies through rigorous process and controls, and as a gatekeeper for quality
- Contributes to the wider goals of the IT department and success
- Manages and owns the end-user communication through the product intranet site and KB articles in ServiceNow
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred
- More than 2 years of experience and knowledge of EMR platform
- Experience and knowledge of eClinicalWorks EMR platform required
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent at using Microsoft Office applications, Microsoft Visio, or similar flowcharting application
- Able to clearly communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
- ITIL Certification desired
- Familiar with project management methodologies such as PMP or Prince2
- Worked within a medical facility, using EMR platform to deliver patient services
- Flexibility to adjust to multiple demands, shifting priorities, ambiguity and rapid changes
- Project management experience of medium to large projects
- Experience with medical terminology, processes, tools, and forms
- Strong customer orientation and able to manage customer expectations
- Experience managing external vendors
- Excellent relationship building and interpersonal skills
