Education Coordinator
Full Job Description
The Education Coordinator is responsible for the introduction, execution, and oversight of all educational offerings within the Community Tech Company. The Education Coordinator develops, trains and coaches staff members and ensures the effective delivery of all educational programs along the educational contractual agreements and IT Technology Pathway’s. The Education Coordinator also serves as an ambassador for Community Tech to prospective families and shall lead family communication on all aspects of the Company curricula and learning paths.
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership to all staff and students in establishing a positive, structured, and success-oriented school culture
- Ability to proctor exams in the testing center if ask
- Create and sustain programs for students that teach and reinforce Community Tech’s culture and school expectations
- Design, develop, and implement a restorative practice system in collaboration with key personnel and leadership
- Facilitate restorative practice interventions as needed to respond to individual student and community needs
- Lead facilitators to establish goals for student success, with benchmarks and incentives to meet goals; develop systems by which to achieve goals
- Plan, design, and conduct follow-through strategies to meet attendance and performance benchmarks
- Support facilitators in ensuring they set extremely high expectations and manage their classes in accordance with the Community Tech commitment to excellence
- Coach facilitators to improve instructional practice especially as it relates to issues of culture and student support
- Collaborate with other members of the leadership team to create and sustain programs for students that recognize and celebrate achievement and continuous progress
- Identify, plan, and implement strategies to address barriers to learning including, attendance concerns, behavior issues and social adjustment
Skills
- Proven work experience as an Education Coordinator or similar role
- Experience in management, from conception to delivery
- An ability to prepare and interpret flowcharts, schedules and step-by-step action plans
- Solid organizational skills, including multitasking and time-management
- Strong client-facing and teamwork skills
- Familiarity with risk management and quality assurance control
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Project and Microsoft Planner
- Hands-on experience with educational tools (e.g. Basecamp or Trello)
- BA in Education or related field
Leadership Duties
- Serve as a member of the leadership team
- Supervise facilitators and facilitators aides and provide staff management via team meetings, regular supervision sessions and performance appraisals per the policy of Community Tech
- Conduct site visits to all contracts sites with an educational component to observe and have a supervision feedback loop of all facilitators and facilitators aides
- Submit monthly, quarterly and yearly reports, oversight of facilitators and facilitators aides for all contractual partnerships of Community Tech
- Regular program evaluation of all contracts connected to education development
- Engaging in partnership discussions to grow the education platform of Community Tech
- Creating and implementing training testing aides for certifications for participants to be exposed to for successful certification completion
- Create and oversee the yearly training learning path for all team members on the education team
- Support lesson plan development and oversight to ensure Community Tech is meeting all deliverables and outcomes on all contracts connected to educational contracts
- Participate in working groups of staff and instructors to plan, problem solve, and support one another on an ongoing basis
- Participate in and deliver professional development and training on issues related to culture student services
- Attend and participate in staff and other activities and meetings as appropriate and as requested
- Support the Community Tech Innovation Center and Testing Center by becoming certified as proctor within 90 days of employment with Community Tech Company
- Other Duties as Assigned
Experience:
- Minimum of 3-5 years teaching/counseling and leadership experience in a school community
- Experience using data and data systems to make instructional decisions and ability to coach others in the use of data to ensure instructional delivery meets the needs of all learners
- Ability to plan strategically and maintain a focus on results
- Extraordinary interpersonal skills and desire to work as a team player with instructors and staff
- Ability to partner and create relationships with parents and community members
- Exemplary listening and verbal and written communication skills
Schedule:
- 8-hour shift
- Monday to Friday
COVID-19 considerations:
All customers and employees are required to wear a mask, common surfaces are sanitized regularly, proof of vaccination is required.
This is a public facing position. Telework for “emergency / special” situations must be approved in advance by Community Tech CEO or his designee.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $38,500.00 - $40,000.00 per year
