Educator, Afterschool Program Job at Sierra Nevada Journeys
This part-time informal teaching position is perfect for someone looking to work afternoons and 15-30 hours a week with middle and high school students. You will also have the opportunity to run Family STEM Nights which are 1.5-hour evening events with families and students of all ages. You don’t have to have a teaching or substitute teaching credentials but experience working with youth from all types of backgrounds is essential. If you like variety and being out in the community at different schools throughout Reno and Sparks, you’ll enjoy being a part-time educator for the afterschool program. Earn $20 per hour plus mileage reimbursement. Receive hands-on training on evidence-based teaching practices, positive behavior management and Sierra Nevada Journeys’ unique approach to outdoor education.
