About Ela Soccer Club: Based in Lake Zurich, Illinois (Northwest Suburb of Chicago) has been around for
over 40 years and is one of the larger youth soccer clubs in Illinois with over 1,300 players participating
in recreational and competitive programs. Ela Soccer also owns a 58,000 sq ft elite indoor training center
for complete year‐round training opportunities. We are looking for a dynamic individual that has a passion for teaching and developing great soccer
players on and off the field.

Job Duties
- Drive daily implementation of player development philosophy, teaching methodologies, curriculum & processes
- Work daily with coaching staff to lead & assist them in continuing to improve their respective areas
- In collaboration with the Technical Team, drive the implementation of a unique, flexible, but integrated club style of play for teams and players
- Create long and short‐term seasonal plans for the club and provide guidance to team coaches in designing their team's seasonal plans
- Identify, oversee and help manage player movement between teams/programs within the club
- Serve as a Head Coach for one (1)‐two (2) teams
- Design competition calendars
- Attend and evaluate games and training sessions to ensure the mission & vision of the club are being executed
- Recruit, maintain, and mentor coaches
- Collaborate with Director of Coaching to foster learning, growth and retention of coaches
- Collaborate with the Staff to continue to improve the organization, execution, education, and professionalism of our membership
- Works with coaches to drive daily implementations of player development specific initiatives, including a player evaluation process to provide appropriate periodic feedback
- Assist in the implementation and execution of parent communication and education programming within program
- Collaborate with Program Administrators to ensure coaches fulfill registration, carding and licensing requirements
- Represent the Club at functions, meetings, and events as directed by the Executive Director.
- Provide detailed technical, operational & financial assessments to Executive Director.
- Work in conjunction with Staff to identify, recruit, hire, evaluate, mentor & maintain staff
- Assist in the organization and administration of annual club events
- Communicate & network with current/previous club members, other soccer club directors, &
state associations to ensure the club is represented to the highest of standards nationally
Qualifications & Experience
- Leadership of a high performing program or club in youth soccer
- Parent and coach education
- Designing, implementing & evaluating curriculum
- Identifying, recruiting, hiring, mentoring, education & managing a staff of coaches
- Experience coaching and/or leading elite level teams of age groups, U11‐U19
- Communication skills tailored to needs of players, coaches & parents
- Strong conflict resolution skills
- Must have strong computer and organizational skills
Preferred Experience
- Supporting professional development of staff
- Experience working with US Youth Soccer, US Club Soccer, MLS Next, NL, GA, DA
