Primary Responsibilities:

• Research, develop and design electronic interface circuitry applications for control if products.
• Lead designers in the development of electrical schematic, interconnect, cabling, and assembly drawings.
• Ensure equipment scope and content is defined during initial design process.
• Develop applications of controls, instruments, and systems for new commercial, domestic, and industrial uses.
• Direct activities to ensure that manufacturing, construction, installation, and operational testing conform to functional specifications and customer requirements.
• Establish design criteria for projects using required codes and standards.
• Review contractual content to ensure technical and regulatory compliance.
• Ensure subsequent design changes are documented and transmitted as required to internal and external resources.
• Utilize software to create and update electrical drawings for projects.
• Utilize Tracker, Team Center, and Rig Doc to facilitate sharing and storing of documents and data.
• Track other utilization time, like CPA work.
• Create technical specifications and technical design documents for equipment.
• Provide electrical system commissioning and start-up support.
• Know, utilize, and apply local and international electrical codes and standards.
• Interact with safety agencies and certification bodies associated with electrical systems and installations in the oil and gas industry.
• Perform other work-related tasks as assigned.
• Comply with all NOV’s Company and HSE policy and procedures.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 5 or more years of work experience or 15 years of work experience in lieu of degree with field experience.
• Location: 5100 N Sam Houston Pkwy. West, Houston TX 77086.
• Hybrid work schedule (3 days in the office and 2 days remote work) after 3-month training period completed.
• A strong sense of customer focus (internal/external).
• A candid team player who collaborates with peers to solve problems.
• Firm and diplomatic when negotiating.
• Be willing to provide colleagues with the information they need to complete their tasks and eliminate roadblocks.
• Will be energized by challenges and drawn towards opportunities.
• Must be able to interact with customers and NOV personnel in a professional manner.
