Seeking talented, friendly electrical technicians to provide top notch service to our valued clients.

Adkins Electric Inc., one of the area’s premier electrical contractors, has been in business for over 40 years and we are looking to expand our team. We are seeking self-motivated individuals to work on our multi-family and commercial projects in our local service department, in the following roles:

• Electrical Helpers
• Electrical Service Technicians

All employment offers will be conditional on successfully passing a drug test.

All applicants must possess personally owned tools required for electrical work.

Ideal SERVICE TECHNICIAN candidates will have the following qualifications:

• Must have experience handling diverse service calls with little notice, in a fast-paced environment
• Must be able to manage materials
• Must have NEC code knowledge
• Must have a valid driver’s license
• Must be able to follow safety rules and adhere to company policies
• Must be able to lift at least fifty pounds
• 5 years of residential, commercial, and repair experience combined

Responsibilities for ELECTRICAL SERVICE TECHNICIANS include the following:

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair units while in the field
• Maintain records of service calls, training, and expenses
• Provide on-call emergency service as required and maintain communication with the department manager while in the field
• Educate customers on preventive maintenance and safety regulations, and provide general customer service on the phone and in person
• Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and written instructions

Ideal ELECTRICAL HELPER candidates will have the following qualifications:

• Familiarity with installing both Romex and MC cable
• Ability to multi-task and work in various areas of a project
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Willingness to follow company safety rules and adhere to company policies
• Must be able to lift at least fifty pounds

Responsibilities for ELECTRICAL HELPERS include the following:

• Working with other Adkins employees and various other trades to insure quality installation of electrical systems in a timely manner
• Installation of electrical systems in all stages including underground, rough-in, trim-out, and troubleshooting
• Aid and assist job lead with on-site duties as requested
