QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Possess current journey level electrician’s license as issued by the Department of Labor and Industries of the State of Washington.
  • Valid driver’s license with Class ‘B’ CDL.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license.
  • Must have and maintain an acceptable driving record. A condition of employment will be a signed waiver for the District to obtain a personal driving abstract prior to placement and on an annual basis.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
  • Ability to work effectively as a team member and team leader as needed.
  • Ability to work with frequent interruptions.
  • Ability to meet tight time constraints and deadlines including but not limited to varying working hours when necessary.
  • Regular attendance to carry out the duties and responsibilities of the position to achieve program requirements, goals, and outcomes.
  • Ability to climb and work from ladders.
  • Ability to lift supplies and equipment weighing 1/3 of your body weight up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to perform the physical aspects of the job.
  • Ability to communicate with a variety of people, in person, electronically, in writing, and over the phone or radio.
  • Ability to read blueprint wiring diagrams and install wiring.
  • Ability to distinguish wire colors.
  • Ability to drive to various district locations.
  • Ability to obtain job related certifications as directed.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Treat co-workers, supervisors, students, and patrons with dignity and respect at all times.
  • Serve as a positive role model for students, and practices the behaviors that are expected of our students.
  • Work in a flexible and cooperative manner.
  • Alter, maintain, install, or repair various types of electrical circuits, electric motors, and control systems in equipment, instruments, and appliances in a safe and code approved manner.
  • Participate in the design of electrical systems for new facilities and renovation projects.
  • Carry out tasks such as loading and carrying equipment and supplies; clean up job site after completion of work.
  • Inspect electrical systems and equipment to ensure safety and reliability.
  • Remain up-to-date on electrical code requirements through continuing education.
  • Perform other tasks and assume other responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.
Benefits/Compensation:

Salary range: New employees will start at the minimum hourly rate in the salary range. However, employees who have verified prior years of service in a similar occupational status from other Washington School Districts or Education School Districts, may receive experience credit towards salary placement.
