EMPLOYEE DEVELOPMENT COORDINATOR Job at Aurora Community Services

Responsibilities
- Facilitate employee orientation, training, and development sessions to all employee levels
- Serve as primary contact for all training requests and coordinate scheduled events
- Promote the use of training department services, internally and externally
- Conduct training needs analysis for identified new training programs
- Monitor/evaluate training programs to determine effective utilization of information and methodology
- Recommend and make modifications to training programs that includes current information, reflecting agency needs
- Research current training topics and best practices for training functions
- Develop curriculum for new training programs including writing online modules, instructional methodology, learning activities, and training materials/aids
- Track and report status of all employee training
- Maintain all required training records
- Obtain resources and technology to support training function
- Consult with other staff members to keep training information pertinent and current
- Effectively convey ideas and training department needs using clear verbal and written communication
- Train/mentor training specialists and other facilitators as necessary
- Demonstrate a positive, cooperative attitude
- Communicate with internal/external customers and staff positively
- Provide consultation, recommending training and non-training solutions to corporate issues as appropriate
- Participate in department, regional, and management meetings as requested
- Work cooperatively with others to develop department goals that are consistent with, and supportive of organizational standards
- Maintain knowledge of state regulations
- Formulate, comply, and maintain company policies and procedures
- Schedule and coordinate training calendar
- Efficiently budget for necessary training resources, making recommendations for expenditures that enhance the department and organization
- Seek approval for unusual/excessive expenditures
- Maintain required skills/certifications in facilitation, presentation, group dynamics, adult learning principles, practices, and techniques
- Travel to numerous service locations, working under limited supervision
- Facilitate training sessions up to 8 hours in length, up to 4 days per week, and may include evenings and weekends
- Transport training supplies as necessary
- Ensure safe work practices
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements/Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Human Services, Training and Development, Human Resources or related field and/or related work experience
- Acceptable Background Character Verification
- Valid drivers license, acceptable driving record, and insurability
- Demonstrate proficiency in computer software applications such as Excel, Microsoft Word, Publisher, PowerPoint, and audio/video equipment
Salary Range: $38-45,000/yr. based on experience
