ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking an energetic, personable, and highly organized individual to fill a cross-functional role with high visibility across the organization. The Employee Engagement Associate will manage administrative and facilities functions, such as processing mail, answering telephone calls, and maintaining office spaces. Additionally, this individual will support the People & Culture Team in the production of employee engagement events. The Employee Engagement Associate will also have executive assistant responsibilities supporting the Chief Executive Officer and other executives. We are seeking a motivated, proactive individual with a passion for food and the diversity of cuisines that can bring people together.

This is a full-time, in-person role that reports to the People & Culture Generalist.


RESPONSIBILITIES

Facilities Management

  • Manage the overall operations of our New York Office from the front desk to ensure the best experience for employees, guests, candidates, and vendors.
  • Greet all visitors and employees to foster a welcoming office culture and act as the main point of contact with all support vendors including building management, cleaning services, etc.
  • Ensure team members are comfortable, the office & kitchen are stocked, the coffee is brewed, visitors are greeted, and that all events in the office are a success.


Event & People Operations

  • Execute a broad range of office activities and events that positively influence our company culture such as planning the annual holiday party, monthly food celebrations and ad hoc employee engagement initiatives.
  • Work closely with IT to ensure all technology in the office is up and always running smoothly including new hire set up, executive meetings and employee events.
  • Support P&C to deliver an elevated employee recognition program and onboarding experience.
  • Drive the execution of the employee engagement calendar through critical thinking of process improvements and creatively brainstorming initiatives that align with the company mission.


Executive Support

  • Attend to the administrative needs of the executive team, including booking travel and expense reporting.
  • Organize quarterly board dinners for the CEO and Board members.


QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

Required

  • 1-2 years previous administrative or service industry experience.
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and oral).
  • Ability to proactively anticipate needs (i.e., inventory, conference room conflicts, office servicing and executive schedules when needed) throughout the day to adapt to a fluid work environment.

Preferred

  • Impeccable attention to detail, superior judgment strong time management skills and follow-through even in sometimes ambiguous situations.
  • Keen eye for spotting problems and inefficiencies and finding elegant solutions to them before they become major issues.
  • A passion for food and people!


SALARY RANGE

We hire exceptional people to perform a wide variety of important functions that contribute to the success of the Company. One of the ways we do that is through a competitive compensation package. The base salary for this role will be $55,000 - $65,000.

Based on your qualifications, previous experience, and transferrable skills, the Company will determine at its sole discretion, the salary offered.
