Energy Delivery/Distribution Specialist - Yucca Valley [HYBRID] Job at Southern California Edison

In this job, you will be working in the Yucca Valley District group and function in multiple capacities supporting both District Planning and Operations and directly responsible for the processing of new work, scheduling of work with internal (SCE) crews, tracking performance, and conducting ad-hoc analysis in support of district goals.

A day in the life - Get ready to think big, work smart and shine bright!
- Gather data, document, analyze, and draw conclusions to create and edit various reports to include daily and weekly reports, summary reports, and deteriorated pole reports.
- Schedule Meter Service Requests (MSR) to meter & service crews, ensuring productivity and processing all paperwork accordingly.
- Review, close and confirm accuracy of work orders for completeness, verify necessary documents are present, and obtain missing items. Reconcile completed work orders prior to forwarding to Field Accounting Organization (FAO) for closure.
- Creates job aids for district personnel as needed.
- Assists with inputting data and scheduling projects. Assist P-SPECS, Field Supervisors, Operations Supervisor, and Foreman with training and other computer needs. Act as a key resource to the PRS and District Manager for high level presentations.
- Improve, develop, and execute processes that support the District Operations in the execution of construction, maintenance, and inspection activities in the district.
- Attend meetings with management on a regular basis to update the district on the performance and quality of work based on the analysis performed on the Design Construction & Maintenance (DC&M) Balanced Scorecard and District Performance Metrics.
- Flexibility to work occasional overtime as needed and provide support during emergency storm conditions.
- Manage District office supplies and ordering needs
- Perform other responsibilities and duties as assigned.
The essentials
- Two or more years of experience working in analytics.
- Two or more years of experience with Microsoft Excel.
The preferred
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field.
- Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel using advanced function such as VLOOKUP’s, pivot tables, filtering/sorting, charts and graphing, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Experience creating and editing complex reports, graphs, and presentations, using advanced software/system functions, and generating non-standard reports from business applications/databases.
- Experience performing detailed analysis, investigating and resolving problems, drawing conclusions from complex data and information, and presenting results to key stakeholders.
- Experience planning, organizing, and prioritizing multiple assignments concurrently.
- Ability to work well as a team member, in a team environment, and be able to collaborate with peers, clients, management, and other organizations.

- Work Mode: This position’s work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to reside in the state of California. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage.
