The Warp9 Accelerator Lab is a new Northrop Grumman initiative to revolutionize the way NG builds and delivers software. Our mission is to rapidly deliver great software our users will LOVE. You will be joining an exciting and new initiative to drive digital engineering for a major corporate pursuit. You will apply software engineering to create new tools and new workflows. Your job will be to solve tough problems using modern software to create new ways of doing things for our engineers.

Essential Functions:

  • Design and implement CI/CD pipelines that support continuous delivery and deployment of software applications and services

  • Develop and maintain automation tools for provisioning, configuring, and deploying infrastructure and applications

  • Manage user IAM groups and ensure proper access controls are in place

  • Spin up and manage EC2 instances to support development and production environments

  • Identify and resolve any bottlenecks or blockers that may be hindering developer productivity

  • Collaborate with development, security, and operations teams to ensure that the necessary

    security controls are implemented throughout the software development lifecycle

  • Ensure that all systems are properly monitored, and ale rting systems are in place

  • Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in the DevSecOps field and make recommendations for improvements

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a STEM Discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics ) from an accredited University/College and 2 years of software engineering experience, or a Master's in STEM and 0 years of related experience

  • Hands-on experience in setting up CI/CD pipelines for full-stack web applications

  • Direct experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes, for both

    development and deployment

  • Direct experience with general infrastructure and application security concepts

  • Familiarity with 12-factor application methodology

  • Amazon Web Services (AWS) and/or Azure cloud experience

  • Experience with Ansible Suite (Jira, Confluence, etc) in an Agile environment

  • Strong scripting skills (i.e., PERL, Python, Bash, YAML)

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government DoD Security Clearance


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous DevSecOps Engineering experience

  • Knowledge of site reliability and best-practices, including high-availability implementations, load

    balancing, network fault tolerance, and zero trust security architecture

  • Implementing scalability and fault tolerance through code refactoring and a cloud-first mindset

  • Experience with deploying and managing cloud infrastructure, such as AWS or Azure

  • Direct experience with authentication concepts such as SSO, SAML, and LDAP

  • Direct experience with operations monitoring and root cause analysis

  • Strong scripting skills in languages such as Bash, Python, or PowerShell

  • Full-stack (Node.js-based) software development experience

  • Experience in two or more of the following: Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, Jenkins

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams

  • Active Secret DoD clearance or above


Salary Range: $85,000 USD - $127,400 USD


Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
