Position Purpose or Objective

This position of Engineering Associate is responsible for the overall technical services (manufacturing and packaging), maintenance at our Fairfield location. The position ensures that the facility, equipment(s), utility are carried out in compliance with all the statutory and regulatory requirements in an effective way and in a time bound manner. This position also ensures all the necessary coordination between various departments.

Major Areas of Responsibility

· Identify equipment maintenance needs and perform preventive maintenance for all plant equipment, and machinery especially for bottle packaging equipment & in tablet compression machines, and capsule filling machines.

· Perform routine mechanical, electrical, welding, or machining maintenance activities on equipment including lubrication, inspection, and replacement parts.

· Diagnose, troubleshoot, update and repair malfunctioning plant equipment.

· Ensure and adhere to safe work practices and procedures including, but not limited to lockout/tag out and confined space rules and regulations.

· Interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics and diagrams.

· Operate a variety of heavy equipment.

· Perform general works like patching and repairing sheet rock, painting, moving office furniture, assemble office furniture, replace ceiling tiles, hang pictures, shelving and change light bulbs.

· Perform other related duties/tasks as assigned.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

· Must be able to effectively part of highly efficient team and organization

· Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills

· Ability to work with minimal supervision.

Education and Experience

· Diploma or bachelor’s degree in engineering.

• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Pharmaceutical Generic Products preferred

Physical Demands

· This position requires the employee physically fit.

• Ability and willingness to work additional hours as required by business needs.

Pay: $33,836.98 - $46,558.08 per year
