WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
You will become a member of our largest functional group, Engineering, the foundation of CPI. Leading a team of Regulatory Compliance engineers, the Director of Global Regulatory Compliance will ensure CPI is positioned today and tomorrow to meet the ever changing industry and governmental regulations for product safety and environmental directives. You will have a direct impact on the sales and distribution of all CPI products globally. You will be responsible for:
· Business oversight, direction, and guidance to CPI associates and BU leaders regarding global regulatory compliance and emerging issues.
· Lead the global regulatory team, implementing standard procedures, tools and KPIs, to ensure the business understands, secures and maintains necessary authorizations under global regulatory requirements and environmental product directives, e.g., REACH SVHCs, RoHS, California’s Proposition 65, international approvals for market access, etc.
· Actively develop and grow leadership talent through effective mentoring, coaching, succession planning, and retention strategies
· Interact with the Tech Support team and customers to address field issues, generate appropriate customer communications, and execute the escalation process to BU leaders and Legal Counsel
· Develop and maintain relationships with trade associations, technical consultants, as well as agency representatives involved with product regulations. Outline a roadmap for compliance that is proactive based on the proposed industry or governmental regulation changes.

Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
- Minimum 15 years of experience in Technical or Product Stewardship/EHS field.
- Previous supervisory experience is required to lead the team of 5 - 6 direct reports
- The ability to be recognized, internally and externally, for regulatory compliance expertise, especially related to electronic device compliance. PCI experience a plus
- Demonstrated business acumen applicable to a global electronics company including an understanding of the Product Development life-cycle process
- Progressive regulatory industry or governmental regulation experience, domestic and international a plus.
- Ability to travel both domestic and international up to 20%.
