Engineering Services Specialist Job at General Shale Brick, Inc
General Shale, the nation’s leading brick and masonry materials manufacturer, is seeking an Engineering Services Specialist to join our Corporate Engineering team in Johnson City, TN.
Duties:
- Assist with effective resolutions for a variety of masonry issues varying in complexity. Common issues include, but are not limited to, color, cleaning, and construction.
- Manage incoming phone calls and emails to provide effective and timely communication with the Sales Department and customers.
- Answer design and installation questions.
- Collaborate with customers during the building phase of projects.
- Assist the Manager of Engineering Services with technical projects.
- Prepare various technical documents and training aids.
Position requirements:
- Associates or Vocational Certificate in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, Drafting, or related technical field
- Strong customer service skills
- Strong MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) skills
- Written and oral communication skills
- Proficiency with AutoCAD (or other drafting/design software) is a plus, but not required.
- Familiarity with building codes and common building practices
- Ability to work independently
- Attention to detail
- Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
