Engineering Technician IV – Quality Assurance Inspector

CACI is seeking an Engineering Technician IV. This individual will perform inspection on fabricated machined parts and electronic assemblies per engineering drawings, manufacturing plan, and customer specifications.

Perform inspections using various type of inspection equipment (height gage, calipers, micrometer, angle gauge, multimeter). This is for CRIC- ES at Lexington Park, MD.


What You’ll Get to Do:

  • Interpret engineering drawings and schematic diagram.

  • Perform 1st article inspection on machined parts, electronic assemblies and properly record results.

  • Complete and maintained quality records to ensure conformity to product requirements.

  • Perform quality inspections on incoming material from suppliers and record supplier performance.

  • Ensure product is manufactured to the latest applicable configuration documentation and required specifications.

  • Maintain, control and process non-conforming material and prepare material discrepancy report (MDRs).

  • Ensure nonconforming product is removed and properly labeled/segregated from use.

  • Initiate and follow up of nonconformance’s as required.

  • Recommending strategies to improve product quality.

  • Assists in maintaining ESD stations and monitor employee ESD compliance.

  • Assist in defect tracking, evaluation, and trend analysis.

  • Assist in the implementation of quality standard and procedure development.

  • Propose improvements to the production process and recommend changes to improve quality efficiency of the product and service.

  • Proactive communication with team members on product inspection results and process requirements.

  • Record inspection results and input data into quality database for statistical analysis.

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

  • US Citizenship is required to obtain a Top Secret clearance.

  • Associates Degree in an Engineering or Technical Discipline AND Two years of experience in mechanical fabrication inspection and in-process and final electronic assembly inspection IAW engineering drawings and quality specifications.

  • Experience with testing using voltage continuity multimeters for cables and electronic equipment.

  • Experience in documenting inspection results, identifying nonconforming material, initiating corrective actions, and establishing root cause analysis.

  • Ability to use electrical and mechanical inspection equipment (caliper, multimeter, angle gage, height gage, micrometer).

  • J-STD-001, IPC-610, IPC 620 knowledge or certification.

  • knowledge of manufacturing quality assurance processes and procedures.

  • Familiarity with quality standard AS9100D/9001:2015.

  • Keen attention to detail.
