NexGen Data Systems is seeking an Enterprise Network Services (ENS) Engineer with experience in troubleshooting security suite solutions related to routing, load balancing, and application delivery. The ENS Engineer will be a senior level role and work within a team to make recommendations related to troubleshooting, device configuration, and documentation. This will be a strategic role, and the ideal candidate for this position must have mid to senior level experience with BIG-IP/F5 devices, Palo Alto Firewalls and Cisco Routing/Switching. Experience with migration to Cloud environment is a big plus. Solid Cloud and scripting experience is highly preferred. This position will be fully remote.

Root cause analysis of in-service problems (including operational hazards, deficiency reports, parts obsolescence, corrosion effects, and reliability degradation)

• Other activities necessary to ensure cost-effective support to achieve peacetime and wartime readiness and performance requirements over a system’s life-cycle

• Troubleshoot network security suite solutions.

• Work in a team setting making recommendations related to troubleshooting, device configuration, and documentation.

• Resolve issues in a timely manner dealing with a variety of different network devices and protocols following applicable reporting formats

• Perform detailed technical analyses for a system, subsystem or system elements

• Exercise judgment in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results

• Use professional concepts and company objectives to resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways

Roles and Responsibilities:

Desired/Required Skills:

• 4-6 years of professional experience in network security and engineering

• Experience with F5s, Cisco switches and routers, Palo Alto Firewalls OR IDS/IPS devices required

• Ability to work cooperatively in a multifunction team environment is a must

• Secret clearance or higher required

• 8570 compliance (Active Security and OS certifications)

• Ability to handle competing priorities with high expectations in a team-oriented environment
