Summary of Functions

The Entertainment Strategy Manager (ESM) is responsible for, but not limited to, development, coordination, implementation, and administration of details related to the entertainment and guest services programs of Northern Quest Resort & Casino and Qlispé Raceway Park. This position devises programs through promotion, social media, traditional media, and more for the express purpose of encouraging event attendance. The ESM is expected to create and execute ideas to vastly improve the overall guest experience by maintaining the highest levels of Kalispel Hospitality. In addition, this position may be responsible for assisting property venue managers with booking entertainment, promotions, and working with various departments to successfully produce events.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for developing and establishing vision, strategies, and objectives to assist with achieving financial goals of the Department of Live.
  • Devise, construct, and execute new strategies to drive ticket sales for events.
  • Manage appropriate promotional and advertising budgets for Entertainment and Motorsports events.
  • Work closely with Marketing department to provide direction and guidance regarding details for the effective build, implementation, and maintenance of event marketing campaigns.
  • Develop and maintain a positive relationship with various media representatives for the sole purpose of enhancing sales and promotional strategies that increase awareness of events.
  • Involved with the strategic planning for the development of potential sponsorship opportunities and their associated fulfillment programs relating to event tickets and other accesses to artists or events.
  • Assists Player Development and Camas VIP with details associated with private VIP concerts and events, including evaluation, planning, contracting and event logistics and is the primary point of contact to execute programs at events.
  • Continuously evaluate, analyze, and monitor the effectiveness of promotions and advertising campaigns related to entertainment and motorsports.
  • Research and prepare entertainment promotional data for ongoing management and recap meetings.
  • Partner with Marketing to maximize event awareness through marketing channels and work to identify key demographics to reach for each show.
  • Identify and maximize opportunities that optimize the overall guest experience related to events including ticket sales, food and beverage, merchandise, and more.
  • Assist with the creation and management of ideas and programs to enhance overwhelming positive vibe across venues; this may include signage, messaging, and visual and auditory elements.
  • Responsible for booking destination venue entertainment that is effective in attracting guests to the property.
  • Assist with the creation and production of special events that promote diversity, education, and inclusion.
  • Oversee all music licensing contracts and payment of fees.
  • Establish and maintain high standards of customer service for staff, guests, and vendors.
  • Available and willing to work any changes in hours deemed necessary for business levels.
  • Responsible for maintaining a consistent, positive attendance record.
  • May be required to be a panelist for the Internal Review Board Process.

  • Work nights, weekends and holidays as required.

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in related field or equivalent experience required.

Experience

  • Ten (10) years' experience in entertainment/live event operations and/or management. An equivalent combination of education and experience may also be considered.

Physical Demands

  • Requires the ability to lift and/or move objects weighing up to 50 pounds.

  • Occasionally requires raising objects from a lower to a higher position or moving objects horizontally.
  • Requires stooping which entails the use of the lower extremities and back muscles.
  • Occasionally requires crouching.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
