Job Connection professionally serve the citizens of Oklahoma who have barriers to employment due to a disability. With the goal of helping these individuals secure meaningful long-term employment enabling them to become self-sufficient members of the working community.

We are currently looking for an Employment Consultant in the Tulsa County area and is willing to travel to surrounding areas.

Job Summary:

An Employment Consultants main two job duty’s is to first locate and market prospective employers, for the purpose of securing employment for individuals with Developmental Disabilities. Secondly is to advocate for the client during the employment search and once the client is employed to help guarantee a successful outcome.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Markets the company and client professionally.
• Takes clients to Job Search and to interviews.
• Assesses the client’s needs in the job search process and provides the needed support. May include completion/review of applications, networking with prospective employers, coaching/attending interviews, and assisting with any pre-employment paperwork or online application process.
• Provides positive reinforcement for positive behavior and promotes social integration, worker socialization, proper communication skills, and positive work attitudes.
• Completes documentation of individual’s performance towards completion of goals, daily reports turned in on time.
• To act as an advocate on behalf of the individual and the employer.
• To negotiate work-related issues with employers, such as schedules and work-site modifications.

Qualifications:

• Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.
• Must possess a valid Driver's License and have a good driving record.
• Must maintain appropriate requirements for legal vehicle operation, including current automobile insurance and license plate.
• High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Must have a salesperson attitude. Willing to use the “Door Knocking” approach to market.
• Must be a good self-starter.
• Must have good time management skills.
• Basic computer skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $14.00 per hour
